In 1993, Mike Leigh made a drastic tonal shift with style, direction and emotional connection. In the film, “Naked,” Mike Leigh and David Thewlis chose to take an audience on a bleak, dark and almost miserable journey through the grim streets of London. “Naked” is Mike Leigh’s masterpiece. A film that has the ability to shock but at the same time tam an audience into lyrical beauty and malaise. Both Mike Leigh and David Thewlis are at the top of their game in the movie “Naked.”
